Take three individuals with a passion for music, three men who are at the top of their game in their respective areas of radio; an award winning radio producer, the radio presenter of the flagship show on the UK’s leading alternative station and a radio industry expert who has worked with some of the biggest music artists in the world, and you have a formidable team behind the concept of London Calling.
London Calling is a unique show, produced for a global audience by a UK based team who are immersed in the cutting edge of the UK music scene, each and everyday. This access means they are perfectly placed to deliver what’s new and what’s happening to fans of British music around the world through London Calling. All three have taken their knowledge, passion and skills working in both North American and European radio, and have seen first hand the impact of UK’s biggest and brightest stars from Radiohead to Duffy, from Amy Winehouse to Coldplay across continents and ensured that this is the sort of radio show that both themselves and fans of British music the world over would want to listen to, week in, week out.
Each week London Calling will bring you two hours of music (both new and established artists), interviews and insight in to the culture and lifestyle surrounding the music scene across the British Isles where ever the best new music is coming from, direct from the epicentre, London.

IAN CAMFIELD – London Calling Presenter
Ian Camfield’s dreams of pursuing a radio career began at the age of eight when, after writing in for a request, he was invited to the BBC Radio 1 studio to watch legendary Tommy Vance present The Friday Rock Show. Vance had never known of someone so young with such an appreciation for Heavy Metal. From that point Ian decided a radio career was the way forward.
Ian’s big break came at Xfm, the UK’s first alternative music station, where he became the authority for all things Rock in the UK, leading to presenting roles on VH-1 and MTV2, various appearances on music documentaries and multitudes of voiceovers. Ian has also hosted The Download Festival at Donington, The Wireless Festival in Hyde Park and The Metal Hammer Awards for several years.
Ian has recently returned from living in New York and working for CBS Radio as K-Rock’s Afternoon Drive show presenter to become host of Xfm’s Drivetime Show weekdays and the Xfm Rock show on Saturday nights across their UK network.
